To begin with Mesut Ozil, the German midfielder is one of the best of his kind and has played for renowned clubs across Europe.
Ozil is a midfielder with agility, speed, ability to locate passes to the forward, dribbling, scoring and so many other qualities. Perhaps these qualities made him play for some of the biggest clubs in Europe.
Mesut Ozil first gained recognition from Bremen, where he played as a central midfielder. From there, he moved to FC Schalke 04 where they later sold him off to Real Madrid.
To be honest, Ozil gained most of his football recognition at Real Madrid where he played marvelously alongside elite players. He recorded an impressive performance with the Blancos before leaving for Arsenal.
Ozil’s move to Arsenal changed the German’s football career. He became Arsenal’s main man as he was able to hold and maintain the midfield alone. He saved the club occasionally lead the Gunners into several victories.
Truth be told after he departed from the club, Arsenal has not found a better replacement for Mesut Ozil to date.
On the other hand, the clinical Bruno Fernandes is arguably nothing less than Mesut Ozil. The Portuguese have gone from nothing to something over the past few years especially after joining Manchester United.
Bruno has been in top form since last season though he’s showing some signs of deformation considering the crisis his club is going through.
Bruno is a midfielder with high potential and has been productive and efficient for Manchester United over the years. He shares a striking resemblance to Ronaldo’s career because they both came from Sporting Lisbon to Manchester United.
Enough of the long talks and let’s quickly get to business. Both Bruno and Ozil are arguably the best midfielders in their respective clubs. However, we will be comparing their career stats in this article.
Out of the 394 games Bruno Fernandes has played in his career so far, he has recorded 132 goals and 101 assists.
Mesut Ozil on other hand has played 623 games across Europe, recording 108 goals and 218 assists.
Without saying much, these stats clear the difference between these 2 players. Bruno has more goals than Ozil which is probably because he’s more of an attacking midfielder than Ozil.
Ozil plays central midfield more often and that’s why he has more assists than Bruno. Also, Ozil is more experienced than Bruno considering their age and the number of appearances they have made.
