What Are These Foods That Can Make You Look Older?

1. Salty Foods; this is one of the things that can make a young person look older than he or she should be. Reason is that, when you consume salty foods, the body retains fluid and when it does, you may look bloated and unhealthy. It is also important to mention that salty foods doesn’t just end with consuming foods that contain higher than normal salt, if you consume canned foods or processed foods regularly then you are also filling your body with sodium. This is because sodium is used for preservation of these foods.

2. Alcohol; this is another thing that can make you look older than your age. A healthy looking skin doesn’t just end with the cream you apply on the skin but the overall wellbeing of organs like the liver. But excess alcohol intake can cause problems with how the liver functions thus causing some problems with eradication of toxins from the body as the liver does. Besides that, high intake of alcohol or habitual intake of alcohol can also trigger rosacea outbreaks which can make the skin look unhealthy. Additionally, high alcohol intake can cause chronic dehydration which is also bad for the skin.

3. Sweet Foods; when you eat sugary things excessively, you also put yourself at risk of looking older than normal. Consuming foods that contain more sugar than your cells can process not only puts you at a greater risk of diabetes and heart related ailments but also makes you prone to dveleoping acne, wrinkles and many other skin issues that can make you look older than your age. So the best thing you should do is cut down on how frequently you eat sweets and sugary foods or substances for the sake of your health and skin.

4. Spicy Foods; this is another type of category of foods that should not be consumed too regularly. It is most dangerous during menopause because it can make a woman’s skin look blotchy, old, puffy and also filled with spider veins that would ultimately make her look older than her age. So you need to be careful with the way you eat spicy foods because it dilates the blood vessels and certainly not good for the body if consumed regularly.
